As the 2016 US presidential election cycle begins to heat up, we’ve seen more and more voters across the country join the live presidential debate conversation on Twitter.
That’s why we’re excited to announce that Twitter will partner with CBS News (@CBSNews) for the upcoming Democratic presidential debate on Nov. 14.
Twitter will provide CBS News with real-time data and insights, and will bring live reactions and questions from voters around the country onto the debate stage.
“CBS News is so pleased to partner with Twitter on our Democratic Debate,” said CBS News President David Rhodes. “Our people have worked with Twitter’s unique curator tools to measure changing responses to what viewers will see on the screen. This Twitter integration will inform our coverage and integrate seamlessly with CBSN, our always-on digital network.”
The official hashtag will be #DemDebate, plus you can follow an official list of all current candidates here.
CBS News will broadcast the debate from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, in conjunction with CBS affiliate KCCI-TV and the Des Moines Register. It will be carried live on the CBS Television Network (@CBSTweet), CBSN (@CBSNLive), and across all CBS News platforms at 9pm ET.
We’ll have more details to share soon, so stay tuned.
