Reading Roundup: What’s New in Blogging Lately?

Reading Roundup: What's new in blogging this week / ProBlogger.net

I don’t know about you, but that was the fastest week of my life – I guess it has something to do with my kid going back to school, but honestly I blinked and all of a sudden here we are on Saturday again!

I took mannnnnny notes this week, most of them about cool things to do in Instagram and on Facebook – gotta be ahead of the game!

The Most Important Working Habit of Hemingway: Stop at the Height of Your Day | Darius Foroux

I read this piece of advice years ago and thought it was gen.i.us. Particularly for those of us who find it hard to get going in the morning because you don’t know where to start or what to do. Heminway used to stop writing his novels right at the point where he was in flow, so the next day he wasted no time getting started because he knew exactly what he wanted to write.

I’ve found that so useful and totally translatable to blogging – I often will leave blog posts unfinished until the next day so I can pick right back up and start again in a productive way. As Hemingway says, its also useful for the writing to keep percolating in your subconscious so it will be even better when it is time to write.

Do you do this? Does it sound like something that will work for you?
